Kikoko is immediately hiring a Brand Educator to support our retail partners and education for customers. This is a full-time, salaried position.

This role primarily focuses on cannabis dispensary relations and growth outreach, including:

  • Scheduling, coordinating and executing in-dispensary sales, education and marketing activities
  • Oversee and execute trade and health and wellness events
  • Collaborate with distributor’s sales representatives on account service
  • Maintain knowledge of new market trends and new cannabis research
  • Administrative tasks related to back-end organization of above responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Execute sell-through and educational activities for dispensaries including, in-store demos and budtender trainings
  • Ensure Kikoko product and printed educational materials are properly displayed in dispensaries
  • Participate in cannabis retail and consumer/community events on behalf of Kikoko
  • Maintain inventory of materials necessary to execute events and demos
  • Work closely with distribution partner to effectively manage accounts in respective territory
  • Closely collaborate with Kikoko’s distributor’s local territory account manager on account needs
  • Proactively provide recommendations on sales and educational collateral needs and updates
  • Build positive relationships with dispensary staff and other industry professionals, building an outstanding reputation for Kikoko through every interaction and connection
  • Serve as representative of Kikoko, presenting yourself in a professional, friendly manner
  • Complete administrative tasks related to back-end organization of above responsibilities
  • Document activities in company CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software
  • Other tasks as directed by management

POSITION SUMMARY:

The VP Finance is responsible for all accounting and finance activities and managing related staff.  This is a highly visible senior leadership position that requires the individual to provide strategic insights to the Co-CEO’s/Co-Founders and other members of the management team.   This position requires an experienced, hands-on leader to build out and improve the accounting and finance functions as well as maintain confidential financial information for the various related companies.

  • Serve as a member of the senior management team. Develop and contribute directly to business strategies and initiatives.
  • Examine the major business opportunities available to the companies to determine future growth potential, both through strategic alliances, expansion into new geographies, product introductions and key hires.
  • Implement an upgraded accounting structure within the companies to ensure reporting consistency and efficiency.
  • Make independent economic analyses of business opportunities; and evaluate the financial impact of related actions being considered by the companies.
  • Oversight of month-end and year-end closings, general ledger accounting, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with operations team to identify opportunities for cost reductions that improve gross margins.
  • Review and approve monthly and year-end financial statements and associated reports. Prepare financial and variance analysis and investor reporting packages.
  • Ongoing management of cost accounting and inventory processes and accuracy of information.
  • Serve as primary interface with outside CPA firm on accounting and tax matters.
  • Oversight of weekly cash forecasting, management of all cash flow.
  • Maintenance of banking relationships.
  • Manage all property, casualty and corporate insurance programs.
  • Assist with human resource functions including recruiting, training, compensation, benefits and reviews.
  • Administer health insurance programs including COBRA.
  • Administer annual employee benefit review process with insurance brokers, and open enrollment for employees for medical/dental/vision/long term disability insurance programs.
  • Assistance with fund raising, investor relations and due diligence support.
  • Maintenance of financial modeling, reforecasting and scenario modeling.
  • Oversight of all financial analysis and special projects.
  • Be a role model for the culture, vision and mission of the companies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration, MBA preferred

Skills/Abilities: 3-4 years of equivalent experience. Must have a commitment to excellence, high standards and confidentiality.  Must work independently and as a member within various teams/committees, possess strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills and manage priorities and workflow. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

COMPENSATION: TBD depending on level of skills and experience.  Eligible for bonus and stock options.

The Senior Director of Sales is a leadership role responsible for developing and executing Kikoko’s cannabis strategic sales plan, building and developing a best-in-class sales team across various channels, and optimizing sales processes and tools.

The role requires a successful sales leader with proven experience in a fast-growing, emerging category (cannabis industry experience strongly preferred). S/he will be responsible for driving rapid growth while wisely managing resources.

This key senior leader will collaborate closely with other leadership roles to develop and implement our business strategy to achieve rapid, sustainable growth.

This role includes sales pipeline planning, development of the annual market plan, and cross-functional leadership to ensure sales strategy execution and organizational alignment to these activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting directly to the co-CEO, this role will play a pivotal role in the growth and success of the business. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Develop and execute effective short- and long-term sales strategies and plans across our cannabis channel and partners, successfully balancing objectives, budget, and resources.
  • Build, develop and manage a stellar outreach team that meets or exceeds goals and represents Kikoko’s brand in the marketplace.
  • Drive growth through Kikoko’s distribution partners for the CA (dispensary) retail channel.
  • Work in collaboration with leadership to structure our Kikoko Ambassadors program.
  • Provide the outreach team with coaching, direction, and the authority needed to execute successfully on approved sales, marketing and educational initiatives, and be a leader in our chosen categories.
  • Continuously optimize sales processes and tools to drive efficiencies.
  • Work side by side with marketing to ensure the Kikoko brand is properly represented, campaigns are executed, and sales conversion goals are achieved.
  • Plan and lead regular business reviews with distributors (annual and quarterly business reviews) to ensure sales team accountability and effectiveness.
  • Drive Kikoko third-party distributor partnership through weekly communication and constant coordination.
  • Build strong partnerships and relationships internally and externally to achieve sustainable results.
  • Work across departments to ensure that the Kikoko brand is properly represented in all channels and markets, consistent with our values and brand proposition.
