Our start-up is growing rapidly and garnering major press and market share. KIKOKO is immediately hiring a Full Charge Bookkeeper responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures in entering and analyzing financial transactions, preparing accurate and timely financial reports; ensuring appropriate accounting control procedures, an executing routine and recurring accounting functions. This is a highly visible position that requires the individual to maintain confidential, financial information for various companies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for ensuring accuracy of the general ledger data for various entity types by performing recurring routine accounting functions. Including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll.
  • Prepares and posts journal entries, including accruals and cash transactions.
  • Responsible for month-end close process, including adjusting journal entries, verifying accuracy of account balances and classifications, and reconciling intercompany transactions. Analyzes changes in account balances through account reconciliations.
  • Works independently, managing conflicting deadlines and priorities as assigned. Quickly adapts to changing priorities, managing and clearly communicating deadline risks as new tasks and projects arise.
  • Other administrative tasks as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • 3-4 years of recently related experience.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office: Word and Excel.
  • Experience in QBO.
  • Must have a commitment to excellence, high standards and confidentiality.
  • Needs to be able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions and work independently, as well as a member within various teams/committees.
  • Possesses strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills and manage priorities and workflow.
  • Must be able to enthusiastically manage changing priorities, be versatile, flexible and meet established project deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

PREFERRED SKILLS: Prior experience in manufacturing.

The Director of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing Kikoko’s marketing plan and building brand awareness and positioning. The job includes evaluating, developing and implementing marketing strategies, gathering end-user feedback, analyzing data, synthesizing key marketing and product insights, helping plan our seasonal and episodic marketing campaigns, maximizing our e-commerce platform and overseeing events.

This role requires a dynamic marketing leader with proven experience and success in an emerging category (cannabis experience a bonus). You will be responsible for driving rapid growth while wisely managing the company’s resources.

You will be reporting directly to the Co-CEO, Amanda Jones, and working closely with the exec. team and the sales department to develop a promotion strategy that will help us maximize revenue growth and profit margins, gain customers, drive repeat purchases and grow market share. You will also be working with the creative and innovation departments on new product launches and promotions. Finally, you will be in charge of organizing major events and trade show activations.

At minimum, a BA in marketing, finance or communication is needed. Experience in the CPG and the cannabis industry is highly desirable, although not essential. You’ll have had proven experience in running a team and successful marketing campaigns. High competency in e-commerce, direct-to-consumer, social media, end-customer data collection, and project management are essential.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Overseeing marketing department
  • Evaluating, helping develop, communicating and executing our marketing strategy
  • Researching target market segmentation and driving demand for our products

  • Managing and coaching marketing team members to help them develop and grow their skills and capabilities

Ideal Qualifications:

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or communications or an MBA
  • You’ve had a minimum of 5+ years marketing leadership experience in growth-oriented, innovative CPG category or similar industry. Startup experience also highly prized
  • Cannabis or hemp experience a plus, but not required
  • You exhibit emotional maturity with the ability to maintain grace under pressure
  • You are a great writer with strong grammar skills
  • You’re an ace at digital media marketing
  • You have both strategic and tactical skills to drive growth
